“Jay” used to be slang for “foolish person.” So when a pedestrian ignored street signs, he was referred to as a “jaywalker.”

Vintage ’80s Costacos Brothers Sports Posters
Hot damn. Can’t decide which one we love more: this Eric Davis poster (with the giant baseball-shooting pistol!) that would never ever ever get made today, or the Lawrence Taylor / Terminator poster (with football-shaped hand grenades!) that would also never ever ever get made today, for entirely different reasons. They’re both part of an exhibition of early Costacos Brothers sports lithographs from 1986 to 1990 opening today at New York’s Salon 94 Freemans.

Been jamming The Impressions hard lately. I gotta give a big thanks to Will Cooper for the heads up on this classic stuff.
